Nintendo is only selling two Switch models as of right now. The company says it does not plan to release a new Switch console during this year. The CEO of the company said they want to expand the current base with the existing systems available. An enhanced version of the Nintendo Switch with an improved OS, graphics rendering, and user functions may only be in early stages of planning.
Nintendo has a history of releasing follow-up consoles with better performance along with new bells and whistles, and for the past year there were multiple reports, statements, and proofs that indicate that Nintendo was planning on a better version of Switch - speculated to be "Switch Pro". However, CEO and President Shuntaro Furukawa said in an interview that they have no plans of launching a new Nintendo Switch model during this year. Is the reason related to the pandemic? We can only guess.

Nintendo Switch is a fantastic gaming console that allows players to experience console-level games seamlessly on the go. But it is undeniable that it lacks the power to deliver graphically-heavy games. The new Switch model will no doubt be better, and likely be worth the wait.
